Synergy

Synergy is when two compan ie s work together in order to come up with a product that promotes both companies.  One of the main things synergies  are used for is the promotion of a food company or a new movie.  The reason for its use is to create more attraction in the companies in order to promote and improve them.   Examples   One example of synergy is between Lexus the car company and the new movie Black Panther Wakanda Forever. These companies came together and made a n ad of the characters from black panther using Lexus's new electric car, this allows for the promotion of the two companies .   Another example of the use of synergy is between McDonald's and the movie Encanto. When the movie Encanto came out Mcdonald's decided to collab with them to create new happy meal toys. This allowed for promotion for not only the movie Encanto but also for Mcdonald's because kids would want the new  toy s and w ould want to watch the new   movie.

Media Convergence

Today's media has evolved to be able to complete multiple functions because of media convergence.  Types of media convergence - There are 5 main types of media convergence they are economic convergence, organic convergence, cultural convergence, global convergence, and technological convergence.  An example of Economic convergence is if a company interests across many different kinds of media. Sounds in film

1)  Diegetic sound - Is the original sound used when filming a scene.  In a movie or film diegetic is sound that a viewer can identify ether by visual or inference.  This type of sound is great when wanting the audience to focus on the dialogue and character development.  Ex) An example of diegetic sound is a  character's voice when speaking, the roar of a speeding car, or the bang of a revolver. A movie that uses diegetic sound is Car's. This movie uses speeding car sound effects in it.    Here is the sound of a car speeding by.  Vehicle Speeding [SOUND EFFECT] - YouTube 2) Non-diegetic - Is sound added during post-production of the movie or fil m. Non-diegetic is the sound that the characters   cannot  hear. In a movie non- diegetic is great when wanting the audience to feel a certain way like (anxious, uncertain, joyful) about a specific scene or character.  Ex) An example of a Non-diegetic sound is  the  specific adventurous music that is played in Pirates of the Caribbea

6 camera shots

1) Two or three shot -  A two or three camera shot is when two-three subjects are in view.  In a movie this camera angle is shown when at least two characters are in view and allows for emotional reactions between the subjects. This shot can also be used to convey different emotions like romance, friendship, action, and tension.  My two or three shot was taken by me, with my friend. We are sitting on one of the red benches outside in the eating area. The picture was shot on my I-phone 13.  2)  M edium camera shot -  A medium camera shot is taken from someone's waist to just above their head. In a film a  medium camera   shot is used to show important movements, body actions, and costumes. This shot also allows for the focus to be on the whole scene instead of an individual character.  This picture was taken in the hallway leading to my media studies class. The picture was shot on my I-phone 13 and  was placed on a windowsill viewing the  gymnasium.  3) O ver-the-shoulder camera sho

Movie questions

Here is my video link  Marshmallow the new pup on the block - YouTube 1) The main thing I had to prepare before filming was fixing the blanks and toys on the dog bed for the final scene in the movie. I also had to keep toys around the house in order to keep my dog entertained and focused so I could record a video of her.  2) The editing software I used was Canva. This was a great software to add pictures, stickers, and transitions on my video. The only limitation is that if you wanted any of the more unique music and pictures you would have to pay for it.  3) The filming hardware is used was an I-phone 13. This was a good hardware because it was easy to use, and I was very portable. The only limitation it had was that it wasn't the best quality compared to actual movies, but for a short school film it worked just fine.

we're creating our first two-minute video based on a movie intro. Our instructions are to think of a movie we want to make, then create an intro to the movie mine is called "Marshmallow the new pup on the block".  Marshmallow the new pup on the block - YouTube 1) The only person that contributed to the video was Kaitlyn C (filmed, actor, producer, and director) and Marshmallow (dog actor)  2) For my story board I planed of creating a movie about a dog that just moved into the neighborhood. The only thing I had to pre plan was my dog's bed for the final scene along with toys around the house in order to get my dog to follow me.  Here is my movie template
