Media video progress week 6

Image
This week I added more ending credited to my film, along with editing some of the clips to better fit the overall flow of the video. I did encounter an issue when it came to editing my video. After rewatching my film, I realized the characters mouths didn't perfectly match to the audio, this is due to me creating the lines for the voiceover after we filmed. In order to fix this, I matched when the audio started to when the actor opened their mouth. This change was a major improvement to what it was before. Other than that, I didn't have a problem continuing to edit my video. I plan to continue fixing any minor issues with my video and add some more audio to tell more of the story.  Here is the link to my Week 6 progress, along with a picture of what the video looks like. Media video progress week 5

This week was a productive week for my media video. I added some of the voiceover for the main character. I also added the ending credits. The ending credits included how write, directed, and acted in the film. I did not add anyone scene to my films so their is no need for a shot list. I did encourage a problems while editing this week. While adding new audios to my film i moved some old clips to a new folder in my USB, this caused the system to lose all the video clips. After realizing my mistake I programmed the system to find the clips in the new folder, which got me my video progress back. Other that this one issue my progress went smoothly.  Here is my YouTube week 5 progress.  Media video week 5

Media video progress week 4

This week I continued to add video clips and transitions to my media video. I added the voice of the wise tree, along with the rest of the video clips. This week the only problem I encountered was trying to find a way to create the voice of the wise tree. I over came this problem my  recording my voice and editing it. Other than that my video process went smoothly. I am close to being done with my video, all I need to add is some more audio and the ending credited. I will hopefully be finalizing my video in the upcoming weeks.  Here is the YouTube link to my video Along with the short list of the scenes I added.  Media video week 4 progress - YouTube

Media Context Question 2

Image
1) Over the years media has changed in many ways. Companies like Netflix have adapted to the habits of the new generation in order to promote their movies. Studies have shown that   in 2021, overall media consumption among U.S. adults is estimated to be around 666 minutes per day, or 11.1 hours—a  20.2%   increase from 2011. It is also established that media consumption through mobile devices has grown 460% in the last 10 years. Media has also changed over the years due to younger generations like Millennials and Gen Z tend to consume more through mobile. This shows how media has changed and evolved over the last 20 years.  2) Due to all these new changes, Netflix has had to increase promotion on media platforms than through regular television or radio. This increase in  technology has not been all bad for Netflix because as  the internet infrastructure grew rapidly, Netflix could capture the opportunity by launching video streaming platforms as we know them today,  and provide the sam

Media Context Question 1

Image
  1) Netflix is a very popular and profitable business, some of its media platforms include Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, and Facebook.  2) Netflix uses its media platforms to get feedback and critics about its latest or upcoming movies. Netflix does this by creating polls and posting questions about its movies that catch the audience's attention and with the feedback they receive they modify their movies. These platforms also help promote Netflix's new Tv shows and movies. Spotify falls into the Podcast category because its promotions of Netflix occur in between audios that the viewer is listening to.  YouTube falls into the film category because its viewers are viewing Netflix's promotions while watching videos. TikTok is another example that falls into the film category because its Netflix promotion only occurs while the viewer is watching videos. Some examples of movies that Netflix has promoted on these platforms are Enola Holmes, The school for good and

Media video progress week 3

Thoughts  This week was a good week for continuing my media video. I added several clips and many transitions to my video. The story is coming along nicely with the main character finding the mystical creature "ava" and talking to the wise tree for directions home. The only problem I encountered was some of my audio clips not uploading to my editing software. I overcame this problem by changing the type of audio file and re-uploading it. The overall process to create my idea is simple enough, I shot the video with the help of my actors and then edited the video in class using several tools at my disposal. I believe I've shown significant progress since my last update, and I will hopefully be finalizing the rest of my video next week or the following week.  Here is the link to my video and my shot list.  Media video week 3 progress
